He doesn&rsquo;t seek the spotlight, yet always leaves a lasting impression. It is this understated magnetism that captures the hearts of TREASURE MAKER, TREASURE&rsquo;s official fandom. As one of TREASURE&rsquo;s key creative forces, the artiste sees <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/culture/mikah-on-his-latest-music-project-solo-journey-and-being-a-budding-fashion-icon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">music</a> as a way of translating emotion into melody, instinct into sound. His <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/style/best-90s-mens-celebrity-fashion-icons-for-style-inspiration-today" target="_blank" rel="noopener">inspirations</a> begin with a beat, a theme or a fleeting thought, and his process is fluid and intuitive, often mirroring his own temperament.

Offstage, ASAHI gravitates towards clean lines and soft lighting, a sensibility that mirrors his inner stillness. Onstage, however, he transforms into an entirely different persona, embracing bold concepts and striking styles. This ability to shift between restraint and release marks him as an ever-evolving performer, which is compelling to watch.
That duality became abundantly clear during our cover shoot. Beneath his calm exterior lies a powerful presence that radiates in front of camera and crowd. Every angle, every pose is precisely executed. Attention follows him inevitably, and it&rsquo;s easy to see why.

You&rsquo;ve written and composed many of TREASURE&rsquo;s songs. Where does your inspiration come from? It varies. Sometimes it begins with a beat, other times a theme or a melody. Each song has its own starting point.
What kinds of music are you hoping to explore with TREASURE? I wish to continue enjoying the process of making music as I do now, while revealing different sides of TREASURE with every project.
Are there any artistes who currently inspire you? There are many I admire, but lately I&rsquo;ve been especially drawn to Jack Antonoff. He&rsquo;s not only a producer but also a singer, which I find truly remarkable.

TREASURE is currently touring across Asia, with stops in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Singapore. What are you most looking forward to in these cities? Definitely the food. I&rsquo;m grateful for the opportunity to visit so many places on this tour, so I want to experience each city as fully as possible and take in its atmosphere.
Do you assume a particular role when preparing for a tour? Everyone usually brings great ideas, so I&rsquo;m often sitting back and observing. But when I feel it&rsquo;s necessary, I&rsquo;ll share my thoughts.
How do you keep each show feeling fresh when performing the same setlist night after night? We reinterpret songs through new arrangements and styling. More importantly, the fans&rsquo; energy is never the same, and that makes every performance unique.
Describe your style when you&rsquo;re on and off the stage. Onstage, I choose outfits with bold details that stand out under strong lighting, or pieces that fit the performance theme. Offstage, I prefer something simpler and more classic.

As TREASURE approaches its sixth anniversary this August, what moment stands out most to you? And what lies ahead for the group? It&rsquo;s hard to choose just one moment, since every experience has been meaningful. But our first performance at Kyocera Dome Osaka after the pandemic is something I&rsquo;ll always cherish. As a group, we want to keep moving forward together, as we always have, and go even further.
If you could go back to your debut, what would you say to yourself? Congratulations on debuting. Be grateful to those around you, and have the courage to be yourself.
One word to describe TREASURE&rsquo;s six-year journey? Voyage. It feels like the ten of us are on one ship, setting out on an adventure together, exploring different islands along the way.

What drives you most as an artiste? Without a doubt, it&rsquo;s the fans. When we first started promoting &ldquo;YELLOW&rdquo;, I was worried whether people would like it, but seeing the positive response reassured me completely.
Outside of music and fashion, what else captures your interest? I&rsquo;ve gotten back into football. There&rsquo;s something I enjoy about watching matches in the morning with a cup of coffee.
We heard your studio has a unique atmosphere. Whether it&rsquo;s my studio or at home, I pay close attention to lighting, especially its form and intensity. Soft, ambient lighting best reflects my style.
