Lange &amp; S&ouml;hne</a> has certainly raised the bar with their newly expanded duplex flagship at ION Orchard. Spanning 211 square metres, the <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/watches/refurbished-patek-philippe-mbs-boutique-a-horological-haven" target="_blank" rel="noopener">refurbished boutique</a> is currently the <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/watches/interview-leica-timepieces-zm12-info" target="_blank" rel="noopener">German</a> manufacture&rsquo;s largest in Asia Pacific, a retail space elevated into a watchmaking sanctuary where craftsmanship, heritage and design converge.

Awash in classy black, grey and soft white tones, the store welcomes visitors on the first level with its interactive History Wall, where you can literally scroll through Lange&rsquo;s storied legacy and zoom in on archival details. The Maison&rsquo;s timepieces are displayed alongside to enrich the narrative, both contemporary collections like the <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/watches/quiet-luxury-is-still-hot-with-the-a-lange-sohne-saxonia-thin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Saxonia</a> and <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/watches/the-odysseus-chronograph-a-lange-sohne-first-automatic-timekeeper" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Odysseus</a> as well as a special curation of historic pocket watches.

Further along inside, you&rsquo;ll encounter perhaps the most dramatic architectural element of the space: a soaring, two-storey Wall of Parts laying out all 451 components of the ingenious Zeitwerk calibre. The monumental installation serves as an impactful visualisation of the impressive number of parts found in Lange timepieces, celebrating the mechanical complexity and unseen artistry behind them.

Ascend the sweeping spiral staircase (which is shaped according to Fibonacci principles), and you&rsquo;ll enter a more luxurious, private domain for serious collectors. Two salons, a spacious lounge, a presentation theatre, and even a watchmaking bench are all dressed with plush furnishings, elegant finishes and decorative curiosities like horological books and objets d&rsquo;art.&nbsp;

In fact, scattered throughout the store are plenty of German-made designs, including several amorphous mirror glass sculptures and sconces crafted by a Berlin-based studio in Lange&rsquo;s hometown of Glash&uuml;tte (meaning &ldquo;glassworks&rdquo;, hence the connection).
